The “Fit for Life” neck injury recovery program

pro-45If you suffer from:

  • Neck pain
  • Headaches
  • Pain spreading into the upper back or down the arm
  • Neck stiffness and reduced range of motion
  • Muscle weakness in the shoulder, arm or hand
  • Sensory changes (numbness, prickling or tingling) in the forearm, hand, or fingers

You may have one of these common causes of neck pain:

Mechanical Neck Pain: This condition is caused by wear and tear on the parts of the cervical spine that move, including the discs, facet joints, ligaments and muscles. The pain may spread from the neck into the upper back or to the outside of the shoulder. Mechanical pain does not cause weakness or numbness in the arm or hand because the problem is not from pressure on the spinal nerves.

Cervical Radiculopathy: This is caused by pressure or irritation of the nerves in the cervical spine. The symptoms include tingling or numbness on the skin, weakness in the muscles and/or pain along the path of the nerve. The pressure or irritation can be caused by herniated or bulging discs, degenerative discs or thickened ligaments.

Cervical Stenosis: The spinal canal usually has ample room for the spinal nerves. This canal has the same diameter as a penny. When the spinal canal shrinks by more than 33% severe symptoms of cervical stenosis can occur. This shrinking of the canal is caused by herniated or degenerating discs, bone spurs or thickened ligaments. Theses conditions reduce the space available for the spinal nerves.

Your solution starts with our extensive training and experience

The ProFitness “Fit for Life” Neck Injury Recovery Program is led by some of the most experienced physical therapists in the region. In fact, over the course of more than two decades, our team has successfully rehabilitated thousands of neck injury patients using the most effective tools and techniques available. But that’s not the best part.

Your key advantage is our 100% focused, one-on-one care

Because our goal is to help every patient achieve a fast, full and lasting recovery, we are committed to giving 100% of our expertise and effort to every patient at all times. This means that your dedicated physical therapist works one-on-one with you through every minute of every rehab session – providing expert assessment and guidance, and constant encouragement and support.

In other rehab facilities, you may not always work with the same physical therapist, or you may work with a PT assistant instead. And often, your therapist may work with several other patients at the same time. These factors can make it difficult to get the level of care you need to achieve a full and fast recovery.

That’s why our rehab care is always provided ONE therapist to ONE patient. ONE at a time. EVERY TIME. It’s the ProFitness AdvantageSM. And it’s what helps us achieve such excellent results.
