I needed physical therapy for a frozen shoulder, and secondarily for balance and posture issues related to aging and... MS. I was skeptical about the effectiveness of treating these issues remotely but didn't have any choice because of the pandemic. My experience has been very, very positive.
While resolving the frozen shoulder does take longer without in person sessions, I can see my range of motion and the functionality of the shoulder coming back. But what has been even more of a revelation is how much improvement I can see in my balance, posture and general vitality. Scott has developed an escalating program that has helped me identify my weaknesses and given me a great deal of confidence that I do not have to accept limitations that I had become resigned to. His explanations of why these limitations creep up on you are particularly helpful and motivating.
I can't recommend this service highly enough. The administration is professional and smooth, and the physical therapy is expert!read more

Despite some ‘less than encouraging’ posts concerning Profitness Physical Therapy online, I called around to those... offices recommended by the Hospital For Special Surgery in Manhattan. That search led me to their upper east side office and Dr. James Foo. It was the only office in proximity that would accept my Medicare without supplement payments.
Glad I did. Dr. James Foo was highly knowledgeable, very professional, and most personable. My physiatrist, Dr. Cooke, diagnosed my issue as arthritis in the lower back which affected my left hip. It was debilitating and preventing me from walking quickly or any significantly measurable distance. In addition to a routine including aerobic exercises, I’ve worked out at the gym at least three days a week with weights regularly since 1983. No slouch in that regard, but I did consider this physical fitness routine prescribed more rigorous. I kept the faith, followed the routine religiously and after three and a half months have made considerable progress. I now foresee the day I’ll once again be able to run.
It is still a ‘work in progress’, but I enthusiastically give my highest recommendation and thanks to Dr. James Foo and Profitness Physical Therapy.read more
